I began taking Canine Massage classes about 16 years ago. At that time, I was mainly doing dog walking and pet sitting. Many of the dogs and cats would be fine on the initial meeting with their parents. When I would come for their first visit, they would be anxious and scared and I wanted a way to tell them that I was safe.
My course work has taken me all over the country from North Carolina, Hawaii, and many courses here in Minnesota. I now am a teacher of Canine Massage and have taught all over.
What I love is how you can visibly see the dog relaxing. It is a wonderful experience. I also love how elderly dogs feel so much better when we loosen areas such as the hips. I often use Canine Massage in my dog training business to relax the dog so they can learn a new behavior.
Check out my workshop page to find out about group canine massage classes which I love to teach.
If you would like to schedule an appointment for your dog, we can do 30 minutes or an hour. I also will show you how to do the massage techniques at home.
